About Panjab University

The Panjab University is a state collegiate university which is located in Chandigarh, India. The Panjab University was recognized in the year of 1882 in Lahore (now in Pakistan) making it one of the oldest and finest Universities in India. Panjab University was a part of British India. After the complete partition of India in 1947, the Panjab University was split into two that it’s one part is in India and another part is in Pakistan. In the year of 1956, the Panjab University was moved to Chandigarh, India. Currently, the university is situated in Sector 14 and sector 25 of Chandigarh city and it is spreading across an area of approx 550 acres. Panjab University has been well-known by the University Grant Commission that is (UGC). And it is also approved and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Panjab University is one of the oldest and finest universities for MBA courses purpose. The University has a reputation for providing premium placement in the region of Panjab. The University provides various numbers of programs or courses such as Science, Commerce, Arts, Biology, etc. The University started its distance education in 1971 with the object to take university-based education beyond the four walls of the University for the Better Growth of the students.
